Fulk the 'No Man's Son' is an acolyte of the Temple, a brotherhood of reclusive priest-knights that worship the War God, Occido, the most brutal and nihilistic of the High Gods that occupy the Celestial Sphere. His dying mother gave him into the care of the Temple when he was just two years old, and he is ignorant of his true origins and the identity of his father, hence his nickname. 

 Raised in the brutal, gloomy and unforgiving environs of the great temple-fortress inside the heart of the ice-capped mountain known as Silverback, Fulk has grown to be tough and introspective. He dreams of achieving military glory, like the Templar Paladins of old, and is haunted by strange waking dreams that he struggles to understand.
